Quickie: Homestretch for Real
Be sure to read up my previous posts, to catch up on my progress of the current papercraft projects as well as a few other things. As of today, I can confirm that I have totally completed all of the pending projects and just yesterday, I've managed to save them to PDF, which I'll be compiling before I move on to finishing up the instructions. I've also made some last-minute aesthetic changes on two of the patterns, one partly because of color inconsistency, and another, I just forgot to add the additional details to the weapons. Now, you're going to ask me, what am I going to do next? Well, I might take a break for a bit on the papercraft side once I'm done with the extra content, and focus on unfinished business that needs to be done. And maybe it's time I finally begin my hiatus which will last for 5-6 weeks. And don't forget, my new art conditions will still be applied. Quickie: Inconsistent
After many months of working on the Uberman Papercraft Series, I've finally realized that one of the future Uber Machines (a VTOL plane with massive rotor wings, I guess) had some of the parts colored slightly different than of the other parts. One being hex code (#)09f, and the other (#)39f. And yet I can't even tell the difference between the two sky-blue colors, where one has a bit 20% red in it than the other with 0%. To me, it's not much of a big deal, since I had to fix the parts that had a solid fill color of (#)09f. Now, you're probably asking me, "KRPH, why are you using shorter RGB hex codes?" I'm using shorter codes not just for the sake of this post, but I also use this way whenever I do my game development sideline. It's somewhat convenient that way, but it limits your selection to 4,096 out of 16,777,216 colors. But if you want a bit of added depth, you can use Pantone colors, or experiment with CMYK, HSV, Lab, etc. But that requires using standard 6-length hex codes
Quickie: Rave After Rant
Homestretch? I believe so, but not quite there yet again. Though there are some papercraft designs I have already completed, such as the entire Uberman Papercraft Series, consisting of 40 patterns divided into 8 packs of 5. I've also completed OctaveHaoh, at least just the good guys, but GeisterJaoh, I'll have to work on it as soon as possible. Other good news, I might try out just both OctaveHaoh and GeisterJaoh once I'm done with the latter. There is a lot of other stuff I still have in the queue, but I'll get it done within the next week. In the case of continuing the story of Uberman, I am uncertain whether I will take that time to at least complete two episodes, which I've mentioned before. I'm also motivated to at least do some more modest swimsuit illustrations before I go into hiatus. Yes, I'm confirming my hiatus already, and it will begin around next Friday, which I will have enough time to finish whatever pending illustrations I still have. And since I've already
Quickie: Rant Before Rave
Remember the time I said about what if DeviantArt was owned by Meta or X Corp after Wix divests their assets to the aforementioned? Just imagine DA under a newer management could get better service and better site development if not worse than Wix. If, say this was now owned by X Corp, then you can now directly link your X account as X not Twitter. Core could now be renamed to DA Grok? And all the DreamUp assets will be totally purged depending on the management's decision to rebuild DeviantArt from scratch and make it into an art annex of X (Get it?). If it was owned by Meta on the other hand, they might do the same, considering how Wix had done a dreadful job of managing the site for the past decade. But I don't know if they will rebuild DA in the way, it should be--to be like its original site, at the same time have better UX for old and new users. Again, it still depends. Let us all hope Wix sells DeviantArt in the near future once they finish the development which most of the
